by Debbie Wong | Jun 27, 2014

Kelly Khoo, Clear Channel Singapore’s Sales & Marketing Director has been promoted to the role of CEO, with effect from 1 July 2014, following the departure and re-location of its CEO, Adam Butterworth. Kelly Khoo will report to Mark Thewlis, Executive Chairman, Clear Media. (Mark Thewlis’s remit includes the regional leadership role for Clear Channel International in APAC).

Kelly Khoo joined Clear Channel Singapore as Marketing Director in 2006, before moving on to the role of Sales & Marketing Director in 2010. She has been credited for the transformation of the business, delivering results in terms of its revenue, relationships and reputation, with a scope that encompassed sales force effectiveness yield management, branding, research and insights, mobile, digital, creativity and innovation.

On her new role, Kelly Khoo says, “The business is poised for the next phase of growth. It is important that I maintain a delicate balance of continuity and change. I will continue to place my focus on the “3i” piece, which is found solidly on our proposition of delivering great work (for clients) based on Ideation, Insights and Integration, and in the areas of People, Performance and Culture; whilst seeking improvements in areas that would benefit from a metabolic boost.

Mark Thewlis said of Kelly Khoo’s new role, “I am delighted to announce Kelly Khoo as the new CEO of Clear Channel Singapore.  It is always pleasing when we can promote from within and, for me, this announcement is especially gratifying.  I have had the pleasure of working with Kelly over the past 8 years and she has consistently demonstrated the professional and personal skills that define a true leader.  I am extremely pleased to have her lead our company.  Kelly has been instrumental in developing the successful business we have today and I am certain she will continue to take our company forward to new heights.”

A new Sales Director will be introduced shortly.
