Clear Channel Singapore Celebrates The Best Of Out-Of-Home With OOHPIA 2014

6th August 2014, Clear Channel Singapore held its 9th Out-Of-Home Planning & Innovation Awards at Zouk.  

June 2014, close to 200 out of 600 campaigns between March 2013 to March 2014 were being shortlisted for the first round of voting under four categories; Best Use of Multiple Clear Channel Formats, Best Delivery of Create, Best Use of Digital In Out-Of-Home (Play) and My Favourite Poster. After two intensive rounds of voting, the top 5 campaigns from each category were sent to a panel of judges for a final round of rating.

The judges were:

The coveted award for the finest campaign that best made use of the Out-Of-Home medium, The Campaign of The Year, was awarded to Wildlife Reserves Singapore for their River Safari Campaign.

Celebrity comedian, Pam Oei, was the host of the event as she welcomed the 300-crowd strong audience from agencies, clients and partners with a short stand up performance followed by a series of fun and engaging challenges put up by the Clear Channel Team where guests were awarded for each win.

Recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of Clear Channel Singapore, Kelly Khoo, took to the stage with rip-roaring applause, and kicked off the evening proper, by toasting the audience.

Our partners can continue to count on us to deliver on our hallmark customer-centric approach: forward-thinking and fulfilling promises.”

“In the next couple of weeks, we are rolling out more network options (ProxPax), and mobile-enabled shelters islandwide (Connect). We do what we do best: providing the necessary conduit for brands to meet people.”

Pam Oei continued to entertain the crowd through the evening with her funny antics and a Mambo Jambo-inspired performance at the end of the event.

Clear Channel Singapore showcased the best of Create portfolio and the latest technology available for Out-Of-Home campaigns; an Insta-Printa photo printer that allowed guests to print photos uploaded on their Instagram accounts with the ‘OOHPIA2014’ hashtag , an interactive Neublick photobooth and mirror wall that allowed guests to express their creativity, and an Augmented Reality (AR) enabled poster of The Dim Sum Dollies that allowed guests to win a pair of ticket for the upcoming show by watching a short video through their smartphone via the mobile app ‘Marc’.

A round of live voting for My Favourite Poster category was carried out through Clear Channel’s Connect mobile platform, where guests were encouraged to cast their vote by tapping or scanning the NFC/QR code enabled tags with their smartphone positioned next to each of the five posters. These votes made up 30% of the final score.
